November 6 Election

Election November 6 – Chester polling place is the 2nd floor of Town Hall at 203 Middlesex Ave.  Polls will be open from 6AM-8PM.
If you were not able to register to vote by the October 30 deadline, you can still register and vote through the Election Day Registration process. Please come to the Registrar of Voters’ office and make sure to bring proof of identity and bona fide residence in town. A current and valid CT DMV license showing your address in Chester will satisfy both requirements as will a passport. If you do not have that, then for Identification we can accept a birth certificate, DMV license, Social Security card, testimony from another elector or other proof that is satisfactory. Students may provide a photo ID issued by their college or university. For proof of bona fide residence some examples of what we can accept are: a DMV learner’s permit, a lease, paycheck library card with address, a utility bill that has your name, address and is due not later than 30 days after the election, or a property tax bill or a bank statement.
